I am an 18-year-old undergraduate and a social entrepreneur, an environmentalist, an avid reader, and writer as well as a poet. I believe in striving towards changing the world around me. I know, it sounds dramatic, but believe me, it’s been the motto of my life from the time I was 10.
I am an 18-year-old Indian, a firm believer in feminism, and an active environmentalist. I am the Founder of an organization called Break.The.Ice, a youth organization, formed by students for students, where we talk about all things taboo and help in creating an enlightened youth community across the globe.
Why did I start this organization? Well, I realized that for this world to change, we need to make people who actually care aware of how much their actions can have an impact on the entire global community, and through open dialogue and discussion, we can facilitate the creation of a self-aware and self-enlightened community of changemakers. Along with that, creating a global community, on the very base of communication, I believe, can help individuals not only reflect on themselves and expand their network but also relieve their stress and talk about topics which impact their mental health.
A platform like this would enable them to pause and introspect and ultimately, recharge. Break.The.Ice is a Youth Organization working towards discussing taboo topics, making individuals aware of these topics, and actually having an open conversation about them. The organization aims at creating an enlightened and aware youth community so that the country’s future leaders, entrepreneurs, and even housemakers never fail to educate their children and the next generation as well! The basic aim of the organization is based on the SDG 4 i.e., providing quality education to all (A deviation from the basic, conventional meaning of this SDG, the organization bases its claim on ensuring every individual is enlightened and educated about each and every topic which needs to be changed.)
Through discussions and events, we aim at reaching thousands of individuals all across the globe, not only to enlighten them but also to help them educate themselves on topics considered “taboo.”
Our entire team is working towards ensuring that our goal is reached and that more and more people can be impacted and more and more awareness can be created. In a span of 60 days of establishing the organization, we have reached more than 10,000+ individuals through our social media, along with an ever-expanding team of 30+ individuals from all across the globe. We aim at progressively moving forward and creating a better world for our generation and the many to follow.
