Today’s #BeKind21 message is brought to you by our partners at Mavi.
Kindness is a quality that everyone has the power to practice and it has lasting and positive effects that create connections, happiness, and hope. At Mavi, we value the work of many non-profit organizations and the kindness they spread within their communities, especially in these difficult times.
Today we would like to spotlight some of the organizations we’ve had the honor of working with that are serving their communities:
- Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) and The Meatball Shop’s Heroes for Heroes initiative are helping to supply food to children and families in need as well as to frontline healthcare workers
- Homes For the Homeless is providing housing, resources, and solutions for families experiencing homelessness
- BC Children’s Hospital in Canada is helping sick and injured children.
As these organizations continue to do their great work, we have adapted some of their missions and practices into acts of kindness that we all can do every day as part of #BeKind21.
Little things like donating extra or unused blankets and clothing to a homeless shelter, offering to pay for a cup of coffee for frontline workers, or texting a simple “Hello” or “Thinking of You” to check in on a friend you haven’t spoken with in a while, are all ways we can show we care and offer support.
Your kindness challenge today: Stay consistent in your kindness.
Our kindness to one another, and to ourselves, will always be an available ally.
In Kindness,
Mavi
