Books have always been my greatest passion. Ever since I was young, I found solace, adventure, and knowledge within the pages of stories. But in fourth grade, everything changed. While visiting India, I saw children my age—just as bright, curious, and eager to learn—who had never held a book of their own. It was a stark realization: something that had always been a given in my life was a privilege many did not have. The idea that so many children were growing up without access to books, and therefore without the literacy skills to unlock their full potential, was heartbreaking. I knew I had to do something.

That experience stayed with me, and a few years later, Seeds of Reading was born—an initiative that goes beyond just promoting literacy. Our mission is to make reading fun, engaging, and accessible while empowering children to develop a lifelong love for books. Through Seeds of Reading, I have created digital content that has reached over 60,000 children, making reading exciting and interactive. Our initiative isn’t just about passive learning—it’s about creating a movement where children actively see themselves in stories, build confidence through literacy, and gain access to knowledge that can transform their future.

But Seeds of Reading is more than just an individual effort. Over time, I realized that true impact happens when we come together as a community. That’s why I launched our global ambassador program, bringing together young leaders from over 10 U.S. states and 4 different countries who are equally passionate about literacy, education, and advocacy. These ambassadors help organize literacy projects, lead reading initiatives in their own communities, and work with Seeds of Reading to spread the love of books across the world.

Beyond our ambassador program, Seeds of Reading is expanding in multiple ways. We have partnered with organizations to launch a Law and Literacy Global Research Project, where young students work with female lawyers to explore the intersection of literacy and legal access. We also worked with an international organization based in Canada to fundraise to provide for the education of underprivileged children.

But we’re just getting started. I want to build a movement where no child grows up thinking that books are out of reach. Literacy is the foundation of everything—education, empowerment, and opportunity—and it’s something every child deserves.

That’s where YOU come in. Seeds of Reading is looking for passionate ambassadors—young changemakers who want to be part of this mission. Whether you love books, storytelling, research, education reform, or just want to make a difference in a child’s life, we have a place for you in our initiative.
