When people think ‘Disability,’ they often have misconceptions of trauma or tragedy due to tropes reinforced in the media. RAMPD (Recording Artists and Music Professionals with Disabilities) is working to change the way disability is viewed and to instill pride in one’s natural body-mind.

RAMPD is a platform that, among other things, connects the music industry to a growing directory of established musicians, producers, and music professionals who identify as having a disability, neurodivergence, chronic illness or mental health condition. RAMPD aims to amplify Disability Culture, inclusion and accessibility, and welcomes all looking for disability community, to join ours!

In this video below (transcript here), we highlight a few RAMPD members—including award-winning artist Lachi, touring singer Precious Perez, hip hop artist Tapwaterz, playwright Lisa Sniderman, and lyricist DJ Pastor Rock—as they share their journeys on how they overcame social stigmas to pursue music dreams.
