June is Pride month here in the United States (and in several countries around the world!), and we use this time at Born This Way Foundation to reflect on how we can be inclusive, encourage empathy, and take action. We know from our own research that young people thrive in kind environments where they feel affirmed, supported, and respected, so honoring Pride is key to the kinder, braver world we hope to build together.
That essential need for kind, resource-rich environments is why we are so proud to partner with CenterLink, The Community of LGBTQ Centers, to support their international network of grassroots LGBTQ+ organizations. These nonprofits are able to care for young people’s mental wellbeing by providing essential services such as counseling, healthcare. and education, while being a sanctuary for safety and love.
I hope you’ll join me in clicking here to give to CenterLink to further these organizations’ life-affirming and life-saving work. If you are unable to donate, I kindly ask that you share this link with your loved ones so they can help meet unmet needs for LGBTQ+ youth globally: secure.givelively.org/donate/
With a sharp increase in anti-LGBTQ+ youth legislation and policies taking place in the U.S. and globally, it is so important to show with our actions and our voices, an unwavering commitment to a kinder, braver world where all are welcomed and uplifted, especially those who are most vulnerable.
Thank you for your kindness and all you do to build a kinder, braver world.
